Shopify Integration
Connect your Shopify store to Ritevo and run your sales from one panel. Buyer messages are handled through the e-mail integration in the shared inbox. Enable order syncing — and orders flow in automatically in the background. Configured automatic actions can issue an invoice and create a shipment for you.
What the Shopify integration covers
You connect the store by installing the Ritevo app and approving access in the Shopify admin. Ritevo never sees your password and needs no keys, and you revoke the permission by uninstalling the app.
The order status in Ritevo follows the order's payment status in Shopify. These statuses are the same in every store, so all of them are assigned up front. A refunded order stays confirmed, because it was a real sale - you settle the refund separately.
Shopify has no standard fields for a tax id, an invoice request or a pickup point - apps add them. In the Advanced mapping card you enter the field names of the apps your store uses, and Ritevo reads this data from them.
Additional fees show up as separate line items under the store's name for them, and duties not included in prices as a Duties line item, a separate one for each VAT rate. A tip is also a line item of the order, with the VAT rate from Shopify.
Every order is fetched, including in-person sales (Shopify POS). Amounts are in the currency the buyer paid in, and VAT rates come from the taxes Shopify charged on each line item.
How it works
Add the integration in the Ritevo panel and go through a short authorization with the provider. The process looks the same for every integration.
Each feature has its own switch in the integration settings, e.g. order syncing, message syncing or product synchronization.
Add automatic actions: documents, shipments and replies will run on their own.
Frequently asked questions
Click Add integration on the Shopify tile - Ritevo takes you to Shopify, where you choose the store, install the Ritevo app and approve access. No store address to type and no API keys to copy.
Yes, once order syncing is enabled, they sync periodically in the background, exactly like any other sales channel.
Buyers from a Shopify store write by e-mail. Connect your mailbox through the e-mail integration and the threads will land in the shared Ritevo inbox.
When you turn it back on, Ritevo fetches orders from the moment it was turned off, but Shopify only gives access to orders from the last 60 days. Orders from the break arrive as new and can trigger automatic actions, so check them first. After more than 90 days without fetching you need to connect the store again.
An order cancelled in Shopify arrives in Ritevo as Cancelled, regardless of the status mapping. A cancellation or refund made in Shopify after the order was confirmed does not change it in Ritevo - you update such an order by hand.
